Banjos can be built with an almost endless combination of parts. The configuration that I favor is a Tony Pass thin skirt Lost Timbre rim, Tennessee 20 tone ring, Cox curly maple resonator, Weather King head, First Quality presentation grade curly maple neck with ebony overlay, ebony  fingerboard, headstock and fingerboard inlay of your choice, Presto tail piece and Snuffy Smith 11/16" bridge (Crowe spacing).

A standard nickel plated banjo of this configuration will cost about $2500 (more or less) - depending on options selected.

A gold plated top tension banjo of this configuration will cost about $4500 - (more or less) depending on options.

There are a lot of configurations in between these two end points.

Call or e-mail for availability and/or an estimate on your specific desires.
